Cookies & Privacy

I know cookies and privacy are an issue for some, so let’s look at those things.

Cookies

Like most people, I have very little idea what cookies actually do. I know they store bits of info about your website visit, but that’s about it. As far as I’m aware, they don’t grab anything important or sensitive, but I could be wrong. If you want the information that was recommended to me, click here. I’ll warn you, there’s a lot of it. Basically every version I’ve seen boils down to the same thing: if you want to use a website you’re going to get cookies. End of.

However, you don’t need to keep them! If you want to get rid of them when your visit has finished, you can do that via your web browser. How you actually do that is different for Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc. But if you do a search for “how to delete cookies…” you should find out how. Be careful though. If you clear ALL cookies, you might get rid of stuff that’s actually useful to you – like logins to places you visit a lot. I’m not suggesting you do or don’t, but I suggest you  get more info on that before you decide. OK?

Privacy

Now here’s something you and I do have some control over!

If you want to talk to me privately, please use the contact form. Those conversations are just between you and me, and will never be shared with anyone – unless you specifically ask me to do that. OK? That info is not stored on the website, or in cookies. The form clears as soon as it’s sent, and comes to me via email.

That’s it I think. If you’ve got any questions, ask.
