I love the old Sherlock Holmes mysteries and wanted to write something with that kind of flavor, but with elements of the supernatural and a bit of a steampunk feel. Milton's three adventures start in London, then take him to France and Spain. I've been lucky enough to spend time in both countries, and most of the locations are real, although I've taken them back in time and changed their names.
